I receivedThe following e-mail from NumbersUSA recently regarding Senator Warner latest end run for amnesty program. The following email explains the latest outrageous planned government program to send American Citizens to the back of the line. My son has two Masters Degrees ( One in IT from UNC) and has had a terrible time keeping job with outsourcing of our jobs to China, India and wherever. He now works for a bank that has more H!B Visas workers from India than American Citizens! He was lucky to ever get interview for job. Anyway NumbersUSA forwarded e-mail and requested support THURSDAY MAY 31, TIME: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., WHERE: Yorktown Library, 8500 George Washington Memorial Highway. Yorktown, VA 23692. I live in Smithfield but plan on stopping by the Yorktown location Thursday. Perhaps some of your Yorktown members would be interested.

Don Altman
Dear Virginia Activist,
I emailed you a while ago about an opportunity to tell Sen. Warner that his immigration policies are damaging to American workers. Since then, he has co-sponsored ANOTHER bill that could seriously hurt the American STEM worker.
Many of you said you would spend a few minutes to stop by an office hour, and I would love to hear how it went. I am sending this email as a reminder to get back to us with any feedback you have, and to tell you about upcoming events with Sen. Warner's staff.
Tell Sen. Warner's staff that you oppose the StartUp Act 2.0, a bill that would create 50,000 new visas for foreign-born students in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) field and 75,000 visas for immigrant "entrepreneurs."
Proponents of the bill (big business owners and politicians) tell us that we need more foreign STEM workers because we don't have enough to compete with the world.
But, the truth is...
-- 1.8 million Americans have engineering degrees but do not have an engineering job.
-- 101,000 American engineers are looking for a job and cannot find any work at all.
-- Only about one third of native STEM professionals are currently employed in jobs closely related to their degrees.
-- Some two thirds of native STEM workers are employed or are training for jobs in unrelated fields.
-- It is in the big businesses' best interest to DECREASE wages by INCREASING the number of foreign workers who they can pay less than American STEM graduates.
We talked extensively about the flaws of this bill in our webcast last week including the creation of diploma mills and the influence of the "billionaires club" on immigration policy -
Here is a list of events for the first half of June, please take a few minutes out of your day to stand up for American STEM workers!
