Dear Friend, Being the Sheriff of York County and the City of Poquoson, I had the opportunity to meet so many great business leaders and small business owners that work hard every day to provide good paying and family sustaining jobs for themselves and their employees' families. I heard from them about the struggles they face when starting and sustaining a business in Virginia. The most common question I always ask is 'What can be done to make it easier? Starting a business should not be difficult. Overregulation, burdensome taxes, and government overreach should never be the reason why a business should close or have to lay people off. Yet, we still have difficulty bringing new business to the Peninsula. Will you make a contribution of $200, $150, or even $100, to send a pro-free market, lower-tax, anti-overregulation candidate to Richmond to fight for businesses? Being born and raised on the Peninsula, I know the community and the passion of the workforce. We should be able to attract new and innovative businesses to our region by partnering with them and making our community a business-friendly environment. But our current democratic leadership has largely ignored the business community and it's time for change! With a contribution of $150, $125, or even $100, you can help make the Peninsula a haven for business and family sustaining jobs. Thank you for your support, Sheriff Danny Diggs |
